2005 Iowa Deaf Conference
I had the awesome opportunity of attending the Iowa Deaf Conference during the month of September. Several in attendance didn't not have the Holy Ghost, some hearing, and some deaf. Rev. Curtis Noland was preaching and teaching and god was doing HIS thing filling one hear (George Goode III and one deaf (Charles Bowman) with the Holy Ghost - they were both baptized in Jesus Name during the Conference.
After the Conference I put together a "short film" using pictures and video clips of the conference. This can be seen on the "Home Page." Its's not everyday you have the opportunity of witnessing a deaf man, who had never attended our workshops or one of our church, be gloriously filled with the "Spirit" during his water baptism. This video was created to encourage churches to start a Deaf Ministry, and to show the need for the deaf and hearing to come together so the deaf may hear. In Iowa that is exactly what the hearing and deaf did...they came together and the Lord blessed. This video represents the "heart and soul" of Deaf Ministry. The Deaf can and do speak in tongues.

Sister Mary a new convert and a university trained sing language teacher, brought 8 deaf people to Sunday service & interpreted for them on Oct 16th 2005. She is responsible for beginning a "Deaf Ministry" in Uganda Africa.
Peter is one of the 8 who came with sister Mary. While she was still working on paperwork; he began teaching (with the aid of the chalkboard) some students who gather around him at the close of the school day. The crowed grew until there were 65 or more students and teachers sitting in the tabernacle learning from him.
